I've been writing things for the web and on paper for over 30 years. Sometimes I get quoted in a blog or other journalists want to pick my brain. I co-organized a conference for years. And I invented a fish.
This place is about things that keep me busy professionally—software, web services, internet finds, consumer and data protection, etc. But in this private space, I also want to vent about things that interest me personally: music, Go, travel, the little things, and the big picture.

Hallo, Ich bin Jo.
Ich schreibe seit mehr als 30 Jahren Dinge ins Netz und auf Papier. Manchmal werde ich auch in ein Blog zitiert oder andere Journalisten wollen etwas von mir wissen. Ich habe jahrelang eine Konferenz mitorganisiert. Und ich habe einen Fisch erfunden.
Hier geht es um Dinge, die mich beruflich umtreiben, also Software, Web-Dienste, Internet-Fundstücke, Verbraucher- und Datenschutz etc. pp.. An diesem privaten Ort möchte ich mich aber auch über Dinge auslassen, die mich privat interessieren: Musik, Go, Reisen, die kleinen Dinge und das große Ganze.
